The Commission exists because borders should not be barriers.
Founded in 1994 following the North American Trade Expansion Act, the National Trade Commission was charged with a single mandate: ensure that no domestic manufacturer loses a foreign sale due to regulatory complexity, documentation failure, or lack of market intelligence.
Today, we operate across 89 countries, maintain 47 active bilateral agreements, and have guided more than 12,400 manufacturers through their first — and subsequent — export transactions.
Sovereign Mandate
Established by Congressional Act to eliminate friction at every border crossing — we exist because trade barriers cost domestic manufacturers $34 billion annually in delayed or abandoned export opportunities.
Bilateral Integrity
Every agreement we broker is ratified through a two-tier review: legal compliance by our Office of Trade Law, and commercial viability by our Market Assessment Division.
Manufacturer First
Our services are structured for the factory floor, not the boardroom. From a first-time provincial exporter to a Fortune 500 manufacturer, every inquiry receives the same meticulous attention.
Active Bilateral Corridors
Every agreement listed here has cleared full legal review and is currently accepting export applications. Our trade attachés in each partner country provide on-the-ground support for documentation and customs clearance.
Mission principle: Every bilateral corridor is maintained with the same rigor as the day it was ratified. Our legal review team conducts quarterly audits of all 47 agreements to ensure continued compliance with both domestic and foreign regulatory frameworks.
Every shipment begins with the right paper.
Our licensing division processes over 4,200 export applications monthly. Whether you are shipping industrial machinery to Seoul or organic grain to Dubai, we match your product to the correct license type and walk you through every requirement.
